Through the highest road of Europe

This route goes through Sierra Nevada in the south of Spain, it's the highest road in europe which makes you reach the top of the Veleta Peak  at 3395.

The route starts in Granada at approximately 700m over the sea, so be prepared to suffer!

Until th km 39 you can go by car if you want to avoid the suffering , after that is strictly forbidden because it's national park you can only go following the road.

I do recommend to ride it with a mountain bike if you want to reach the top by cycling but also you can use your road bike, only in the last 2 kms you should go by walking.
