Jelenova staza započinje u Parku prirode Papuk, na izletištu Jankovac za koje se kaže da je biser slavonskih planina. Jankovac je smješten na 475 m nadmorske visine te predstavlja početnu točku cestovnih i brdsko biciklističkih te planinarskih staza. Vozeći se Jelenovom stazom vozit ćete se zaštićenim UNESCO područjem jer Park prirode Papuk nosi titulu UNESCO geoparka. Na Jankovcu je dostupno parkiralište, planinarski dom sa smještajem te restoranom gdje možete završiti vašu vožnju. Ulaz se naplaćuje 10 kuna po osobi te je moguće iznajmiti i bicikl.
