About This Route

mostly separated cycling & walking paths, with short stretches on public roads, but mostly quiet back roads. There is some gravel along the Musselburgh ash lagoons and between Prestonpans and Cockenzie. You can pick up a leaflet from the museum and retrace the route uphill to Tranent, stopping at the various information boards before trying the gravity ride back to the museum.
